Chapter 88: Does the Handsome Master Usually Shoot?
Chapter 88: Does the Handsome Master Usually Shoot?
Seeing the disheveled woman standing at the bedroom door with her hair in a mess, Chu Fei was startled too. He hurriedly sat up and rubbed his eyes hard before he confirmed that he was not seeing things.
The woman who looked as if she had just been ravaged by a pack of burly men was indeed his old classmate, Simon Lu. Only now she did not look alluring at all; her hair was tousled, her face was pale, and she resembled a female ghost more than anything else.
"Chu Fei, get out here!"
Simon Lu seemed to be holding back her rage with all her might, yet she still did not storm recklessly into Chu Fei's bedroom.
"Get out for what? You're awake?" Chu Fei stared at her in bafflement. Her icy glare made his whole body feel cold, and he subconsciously pulled the blanket tighter around himself.
It would have been better not to say that. The moment Chu Fei spoke, flames seemed to leap into Simon Lu's eyes, yet she still forced herself not to charge into the room. "Get out right now."
"I'm not going out." Chu Fei shook his head without hesitation. Joking aside, he did not understand why his old classmate had suddenly blown up, but that look of hers was terrifying.
"You..."
Simon Lu widened her eyes in fury and was about to rush in.
"I sleep naked."
At that very moment, Chu Fei suddenly blurted out.
Simon Lu's steps came to an abrupt halt. She glared at him like a wrathful spirit, but still did not dare advance. Her eyes, however, darted unconsciously toward the blanket over Chu Fei, as though trying to guess whether he was telling the truth.
"You don't believe me?"
By now Chu Fei was no longer tense. Instead, a wicked smile crept into his heart as he reached as if to throw back the blanket.
"Don't!"
Frantic with alarm, Simon Lu shut her eyes at once. After several seconds, she slowly opened them a sliver, only to be enraged all over again. Chu Fei was still wrapped tightly in the blanket; he had not lifted it at all.
What a bastard.
Simon Lu was so angry she felt pain in her stomach. Then, lifting a foot, she strode into Chu Fei's bedroom with the look of a warrior marching toward the execution grounds.
Chu Fei, however, was startled once more. He clutched the blanket again and cried, "Simon Lu, I really will lift it."
"Go on, then. Lift it!" Simon Lu sneered and took another step forward.
"But I'm really not wearing anything underneath..." Chu Fei's expression changed.
Simon Lu kept coming, and the cold smile on her face grew even more obvious.
"I'm really going to lift it now..." Chu Fei gritted his teeth and looked at her with tragic solemnity.
"Lift it right now. If you don't, then you're no man at all."
Simon Lu clenched her teeth. She was already one step away from the bed.
"Damn it, you're forcing me!"
Chu Fei gritted his teeth and went all in, seizing the blanket and flinging it aside.
"Aah!"
A cry of shock rang out suddenly in the cramped room. Simon Lu had not expected Chu Fei to really do it, and she let out a shriek before whirling around at once. Her pretty face was already flushed scarlet.
Shameless. Utterly shameless.
Simon Lu cursed inwardly, then—
In sudden embarrassment and fury, she whirled back around.
Chu Fei, who had been wearing a triumphant expression, froze on the spot. Seeing Simon Lu turn back so abruptly, his hands still clutching the blanket, his mind went blank.
Damn it, why did she turn back?
"Chu Fei, you bastard!"
Then came an even sharper howl from Simon Lu. It was indeed her voice, but when she had turned around she had just caught sight of Chu Fei beneath the blanket. That bastard was fully clothed, neat and proper.
--
"Simon Lu, you went too far. How am I supposed to go out and face people now?" Chu Fei complained bitterly while looking at Simon Lu, who sat across from him eating with great relish. Simon Lu had been too ruthless; after screaming, she had thrown a punch so fast Chu Fei had not even had time to react. It landed squarely in his eye socket. It was not enough to make him look like a panda, but it had certainly turned the eye blue.
"You deserved it. Who told you to spout nonsense?" Simon Lu huffed. By now she had washed up and changed properly, once again restored to her alluring, seductive appearance.
"You still blame me? You burst into my room first thing in the morning looking like a demon. I thought you were after me for something improper," Chu Fei muttered.
"After you for something improper? Am I blind?" Simon Lu snorted disdainfully, then fixed her eyes on Chu Fei again. "Did you really not lie to me just now? Did you truly not do anything to me last night?" The matter left her terribly conflicted, for she had no memory of anything from the previous night. She did not even know how she had gotten back. When she woke up, she found herself lying on the bathroom floor, her clothes in disarray. Her outer garments were mostly intact, but her undergarments had been removed and left hanging inside.
"Isn't that obvious? You're not a three-year-old child. If I had done something to you, wouldn't you have noticed? Or are you already so used to it that you can't feel anything anymore?" Chu Fei said with a frown, feeling even more wronged than before. Simon Lu had kicked down his door early in the morning just to ask whether he had assaulted her last night.
If you're going to ask, then ask. Why come at me looking like a fiend? Anyone would be trembling inside.
"So now you say I'm used to it? Your whole family is used to it." Simon Lu looked very unhappy.
"Fine, I misspoke." Chu Fei also realized he had gone too far and immediately apologized without shame. Women were unreasonable by nature, and a woman with a hangover even more so. Arguing reason with such a woman was something only a fool would do.
"Hmph."
Simon Lu gave a soft, haughty snort and continued sipping the millet porridge Chu Fei had cooked. Yet inwardly she could not help admiring him. He usually looked so lazy and indifferent, but his cooking was genuinely excellent. It was the same millet porridge, and yet his tasted far better than hers. The only question was whether he was good at anything besides making porridge.
Simon Lu lifted her eyes to look at Chu Fei, thinking that in the future she ought to get this bastard into the kitchen more often. Such skill wasted on not cooking would be a shame.
"Hey, why are you looking at me like that?" Chu Fei felt a chill all over under her stare.
"Chu Fei, I'll ask you one last time. Last night, did you really not lay a hand on me?" Simon Lu set aside her stray thoughts and raised the matter again.
Chu Fei sighed helplessly and shook his head at once. "No. Absolutely not."
"Hmph. Your eyes are darting around while you talk. You must be lying."
"I—"
"Was it you who took off my undergarments? Hmm?"
"How would I know? Maybe you weren't wearing any in the first place," Chu Fei said, beads of sweat already forming on his forehead.
"You don't wear undergarments. Your whole family doesn't wear undergarments..."
Again?
Chu Fei obediently lowered his head and drank his porridge, too lazy to argue with Simon Lu any further. There was truly no way to communicate with her. He swore that if Simon Lu ever got drunk again, he would never bother with her. Wasn't this just asking for trouble?
--
After breakfast, eaten amid great grievance, Chu Fei flatly rejected Simon Lu's suggestion that he go to the company and throw himself into work. What a joke—if it was overtime, just call it overtime. What did "throw yourself into work" mean?
The company was not his. Why should he work himself to the bone?
Besides, half an hour earlier Chu Fei had received a call from Miaomiao Xiao, who said she would be coming to pick him up shortly.
It was far more pleasant to chat and joke around with the busty girl than to go to the company and be ordered about by Simon Lu, who already disliked him.
After washing up, Chu Fei walked out under Simon Lu's fire-spitting gaze. Outside, he found Miaomiao Xiao leaning against an Audi and waiting. Her clothes were still a little alternative, though much better than yesterday's vampire outfit. At least she looked like a human being now.
"Wow, handsome Master, what happened to your eye? Who hit you?" Miaomiao Xiao had eyes sharper than most and immediately noticed the blue bruise around Chu Fei's left eye.
"Who hit me? I bumped it against the door frame when I got up this morning," Chu Fei said without blushing or missing a beat.
"Tch!"
Miaomiao Xiao pouted, her expression one of absolute disdain.
"What kind of face is that? Do you still want to learn martial arts or not?" Chu Fei glared.
"Learn, learn. Handsome Master, even if you said you hit yourself against the door, I would believe you. I really would." Miaomiao Xiao hurriedly smiled ingratiatingly, speaking with astonishing lack of restraint.
A mass of black lines appeared on Chu Fei's forehead.
Soon after, Chu Fei got into Miaomiao Xiao's Audi and sped away, completely unaware that on the balcony above, a pair of furious eyes had been watching him.
"Bastard, bastard! So that's why you were up so early. Turns out you went out to fool around with girls—"
Simon Lu ground her teeth and cursed endlessly, forgetting that Chu Fei had risen so early today entirely thanks to her.
--
"Hey, aren't you learning kung fu? Why did you come here?" Chu Fei asked in confusion, looking at the familiar Red Moon Villa before him, utterly at a loss.
"Hehe, there's no hurry with learning kung fu. Oh, right—does the handsome Master usually shoot?" Miaomiao Xiao jumped down from the car excitedly and suddenly remembered something. She looked at Chu Fei with eager expectation and asked.
Usually shoot?
Chu Fei felt a bit of cold sweat on his forehead.
"No way? You're a man and you've never even shot before?" Seeing Chu Fei's expression, Miaomiao Xiao cried out in surprise.
Cold sweat sprang out all at once on Chu Fei's back.
Yet Miaomiao Xiao waved a hand in great boldness. "It's okay, handsome Master. Even if you've never shot before, it's fine. I'll teach you."
"You'll teach me to shoot?"
Chu Fei looked at her with a very complicated expression. Damn it, were girls nowadays really this open? Teaching men to shoot at the drop of a hat?
Was a gun something one could just shoot casually?
"What? Don't tell me you don't believe my shooting skills? Hehe, handsome Master, I'm a sharpshooter. Not just me—my little sisters all are too. Once we meet up, we'll teach you together and make sure you learn to shoot in the shortest possible time." Miaomiao Xiao thumped her generously developed chest with confidence to spare.
A whole gang of little sisters, all sharpshooters, teaching him to shoot together?
Chu Fei's forehead was covered in black lines. He felt his entire worldview collapsing.
Had the world changed too fast for him to keep up, or was he simply not awake yet and still dreaming?
At that moment, Chu Fei truly wanted to pass out and be done with it.
Miaomiao Xiao, however, gave no explanation. Excitedly gripping Chu Fei, she dragged him into the hotel and, with practiced ease, led him to a door in the basement and kicked it open.
Inside, a group of young women in camouflage uniforms were chatting and laughing. The moment they saw Miaomiao Xiao enter, they all stood at once. Each held a weapon in her hands—pistols, AKs, and even one girl clutching a very imposing sniper rifle.
Damn it.
Looking at those fully armed girls, Chu Fei's forehead darkened even more. He turned to the very excited Miaomiao Xiao beside him. "So when you said shooting just now, you meant this?" He pointed at the girls.
"Yeah, what else did you think it meant?" Miaomiao Xiao was baffled by the question. Then, seeing Chu Fei's strange expression, she finally understood. Her mouth fell open, and she pointed at him with one fair finger.
"Handsome Master, surely not—you didn't think I meant shooting your gun, did you?"
Her voice was loud enough to shake the room.
Chu Fei went black before his eyes and nearly fainted on the spot. Could this girl possibly speak any more directly than that?
The fifth chapter has finally been delivered, haha. Do you all like this part? So tired. Good night, everyone. I'm off to sleep!
