Chapter 120: Sun Yang in the Hospital Ward

Sun Ye heard Sun Yang’s furious roar and immediately frowned. He swept Ye Fei and the others a disgusted glance, then left the hospital without another word.

“Let’s go in,” Ye Fei said.

“Wait, Ye Fei. There are too many people, and it won’t be good for the patient’s rest. Let them wait outside,” Sun Nana said.

When several of Sun Yang’s subordinates heard this, they quickly spoke up so Ye Fei would not be put in an awkward position. “Brother Ye, we’ll wait outside. Go in and see our boss.”

Ye Fei nodded. “All right. Wait for me outside.”

The two of them entered the ward. This time, the two bodyguards at the door did not stop them. Sun Yang had already spoken, and Sun Ye had left, so they had no desire to play the villain by blocking Ye Fei and provoking Sun Yang’s anger.

The young man with hair dyed red and white walked in and obediently stood to one side.

Ye Fei spoke up. “Good. As long as we know what happened, that’s enough. Sun Yang needs to rest now, so don’t bother him with this any further. Little Lan, you’ll lead the way later and identify those people for me. I’ll take care of this.”

“Yes, yes! All right, Brother Ye. Just call me and I’ll be there. I guarantee I’ll identify every last one of them for you.” Little Lan was thrilled. Ye Fei rose and gave them a slight nod.

“Dad, Mom, you’re here,” Sun Yang called from the bed.

“Yes. Your younger brother told us you’d gotten into trouble and were at the city hospital, so your mother and I hurried over to see you,” Sun Yang’s father said.

His mother had already walked to the bedside, her face filled with concern.

“You have a guest and you’re not going to introduce him to your mother and me?” his father asked.

“Oh, right. Mom, this is Ye Fei, my brother from the orphanage. I call him Brother Ye,” Sun Yang said.

“Hello, Uncle and Auntie. I’m Ye Fei.” Ye Fei spoke up and nodded once more.

“Ye Fei…” Sun Yang’s father froze. So this was him. A few days earlier, Sun Yang had pleaded with his father to help Tianxiang Corporation confront the enormous Fang Consortium, all for the sake of this Ye Fei.

Sun Yang’s mother smiled at Ye Fei. “So you’re Ye Fei! Sun Yang has mentioned you to me many times.”

“Yes. Sun Yang and I are very close,” Ye Fei replied politely.

As for Little Lan, who stood awkwardly to one side, there was no need to introduce him. Sun Yang’s parents already knew him. After Sun Yang had left the family company, he had insisted on gathering a group of young thugs and imitating them by extorting protection fees. He was constantly getting into fights, and being arrested was commonplace. His parents had gone to the police station to bail them out more times than they could count, so Little Lan was more than familiar to them.

Sun Yang’s father naturally showed Little Lan no warmth, while his kindhearted mother also had little fondness for him or his companions, believing that if Sun Yang had not been running wild with these young thugs, this would never have happened.

Seeing Little Lan’s embarrassment, Ye Fei said calmly, “Little Lan, Sun Yang needs peace and quiet. Go wait for me outside.”

“A security guard? Ye Fei, you and Sun Yang are so close. Why don’t you let your aunt arrange a position for you at our company? It would certainly be better than working as a security guard. Besides, I know Sun Yang listens to you. You could help me keep an eye on him and persuade him to settle down and learn the business at the company,” Sun Yang’s mother said.

Ye Fei smiled. “Auntie, apart from being a little stronger than average, I don’t know how to do anything. Being a security guard is all I can manage, so I’ll pass. As for Sun Yang, I’ll keep an eye on him whenever I have the time.”

Sun Yang’s mother was about to persuade him further, but his father interrupted her. He knew Ye Fei was no ordinary security guard. Judging from what little he had discovered, Ye Fei was connected to quite a few powerful and influential people.

Ye Fei then thanked Sun Yang’s father for stepping in to help Tianxiang Corporation, allowing it to hold out a little longer until the situation could be turned around.

“You’re that Ye Fei!” Sun Yang’s mother exclaimed in surprise. Only then did she realize that he was the same Ye Fei she had heard about. At first, she had never connected the two.

“Yes, Auntie. I’m that Ye Fei,” Ye Fei said with a smile.

Ye Fei did not stay much longer before leaving. He had already seen Liu Er, who was under the care of a private nurse, and Sun Yang’s parents had arrived as well. With a large group of people waiting outside, there was no reason for him to remain, so he took his leave.

“Nana, my brother will be in the hospital for a while. I’ll have to trouble you to look after him,” Ye Fei said with a smile outside the ward.

“Do you know where the people who injured Sun Yang are now?” Ye Fei asked.

“Yes. They’re on Dongjiang Road. They’ve been making a huge show of announcing themselves there, so they’ll be easy to find.” Little Lan spoke resentfully.

“Then we’re going to Dongjiang Road.”
