Lin Mo felt awkward; she truly did not know the answer to this.

"May I ask, Mr. President, would you like to drink... coffee, or tea?"
"Or perhaps plain water? Red wine?"
After saying this, she felt that mentioning red wine seemed somewhat absurd.

Weisheng Yan finally looked up, leaning slightly against his chair. His deep, dark pupils locked onto Lin Mo. The young girl had a slender frame, appearing somewhat malnourished, almost fragile. As she bowed her head, the curve of her figure was elegant, her skin excessively pale and delicate. Her slender wrists looked as though they might snap if held too tightly. In the dim light, she appeared obedient and beautiful.

"Mr. President?" The girl’s voice was cool and pleasant.
Weisheng Yan’s gaze fell to her ankles. "No need."
"If you are injured, just sit down."
"I'm fine, Mr. President. Please feel free to give me any tasks; my foot doesn't hurt."
"Today is my first day, and I need this job."
"So..." Lin Mo swallowed, her tone softening by a fraction, "you don't need to be so polite."
She was somewhat afraid that Weisheng Yan would fire her on the spot. If it weren't for her bank card being frozen, she wouldn't be in such a difficult position. She looked up, her amber eyes shining brightly. This Weisheng Yan was a notorious "Living Yama" (a ruthless tyrant); otherwise, she might have foolishly mistaken him for a thoughtful boss. She had to be cautious.

Hearing her soft, delicate voice, Weisheng Yan felt as if he were bullying a child. He let out a low chuckle, his eyes obscure.
"How is your English?"
"Average." Lin Mo bit her lip. She had been excellent at it during her college entrance exams, but later... even when attending international events, she only needed simple conversational sentences. Over time, she had grown rusty.

"Come here." Weisheng Yan stood up, his figure casting a large shadow. "Sit here and translate this article."
Lin Mo moved over. The man’s overwhelming presence made her appear exceptionally small. She placed her hands on the desk. Looking at the mahogany chair, her long lashes trembled. "I... sit here? Then what about you, Mr. President?"
"Supervising," the man said in a low voice.

Lin Mo stared at Weisheng Yan, thinking he was joking. To her surprise, he strode over to the sofa, sat down with his legs apart, and sank slightly into the cushions. His gaze, heavy as the night, watched Lin Mo, signaling for her to begin.

Lin Mo glanced at the large executive chair, her expression hesitant. Sitting in the president's chair on her first day—was this really okay? With a surge of resolve, she walked over and sat down. She picked up the black fountain pen from the desk and looked at the document in front of her; it was actually a notice to be sent to an overseas company. The man’s handwriting was powerful and vigorous, even in a casual notice. He truly was worthy of being Weisheng Yan.

Lin Mo began to translate, gradually forgetting the president's gaze. After all, she had noticed earlier that he had already stood up to take a phone call. It seemed he had real work to do, which was why he had entrusted the translation to her.

She was the only one left in the office, immersed in her task.

Lu Mingzhu walked in with a manager, carrying contracts to be signed. Upon entering, her face changed drastically. The wide, custom-made mahogany desk was not occupied by the imposing figure of the president, but by a petite, slender young girl. In her hand was the Italian handcrafted fountain pen the president used daily. For a moment, she looked like a little girl studying in her own home library.

"Mo-Mo?" Even the unflappable Lu Mingzhu sounded off.
The manager was stunned too. "Who is this? How dare she sit in the president's chair?"
"Lu Mingzhu, you..." The boss was in the office today. If he saw this scene—given his personality, which was colder than the Kunlun Mountains—they would all be doomed. "Hurry up and make her get up!"

Lin Mo paused. "What’s wrong? Are you looking for the president?"
Lu Mingzhu hurried over. "Mo-Mo, did you forget where your desk is? Your place is over there..." She pointed to a small table in the corner. If the boss saw this, she would be unable to escape the blame. "And what are you writing?"

"I told her to sit there."
A cold voice rang out. Lu Mingzhu turned to see Weisheng Yan walking out of the lounge. He was in a crisp, unwrinkled suit, looking down at them from his height. Both of them swallowed hard, their expressions becoming tense.

"What is it?"
"Mr. President, there is a contract here that requires your personal signature." Lu Mingzhu was shocked, but she quickly calmed down. Her expression remained tight as she forced a small smile. "It's the partnership from the Tiancheng Group last week..."
The manager stood stiffly. "Yes."

Weisheng Yan sat on the sofa, about to reach for the pen in his pocket, only to realize it was in Lin Mo's hand. He glanced at her sideways.
The manager signaled, "That little secretary, hurry up and bring the pen over. The president is used to using that pen; you’d better use another one, don't break it."
"Alright." Lin Mo stood up.
Weisheng Yan said, "No need. It's just a tool."
He casually picked up a ballpoint pen from the pen holder, scanned the contract, and signed his name. In his long, strong, and well-defined hand, the simple pen seemed to increase in value.

The manager took the contract and left in a daze. The president was a "Living Yama," so why was he so gentle with a little secretary? Could this secretary be... the boss's wife? She seemed a bit young... and her clothes were too plain; it didn't make sense.
"How could a newcomer dare to sit in the boss's seat?" the manager muttered as he got into the elevator.
The others were surprised. "Why is Manager Li acting so strange today?"
"Maybe he was scolded by the president? It’s terrifying; Manager Li usually has the best composure."
"Sigh, who can be calm in front of the president?"
"We must keep our spirits at 120 percent today; let's not make any mistakes."
Everyone shivered, exchanging knowing glances.

In the president's office, Lu Mingzhu was already sweating. "Mr. President, Elder Li is here; he is in the reception room. Should we meet him now?"
Weisheng Yan followed Lu Mingzhu out. Lin Mo retracted her gaze, not taking the small incident to heart. She looked at a word, unable to remember the corresponding English. She had to take out her phone to search for it, only to realize it was past 12:00.

"Oh no, it seems I won't be able to go eat until I finish this translation." Lin Mo sighed, bowing her head to continue working. "I won't starve to death, will I? I’d better hurry up and get it over with."
Truth be told, the president's chair was quite comfortable and very ergonomic. It just felt a bit like sitting on pins and needles, which was nerve-wracking.

Ten minutes later, Liu Qi came in with food. "Mo-Mo, stop working for a moment and come eat."
Lin Mo was stunned. "But... I didn't order takeout."
"The president ordered it to be prepared for you," Liu Qi said, her eyes filled with gossip. "By the way, the fact that you sat in the president's chair on your first day has spread throughout the company."
"Ahem." She gave Lin Mo an admiring look. "Newcomer, you are truly bold."
