The filming for the day had concluded. Exhausted, Lin Yu lay on his hotel bed, scrolling through short videos. Usually, he enjoyed watching beautiful women, but tonight, he felt no interest and eventually set his phone aside.

What was wrong with him today? Why did every face he saw seem to overlap with the face of a certain woman?

"Is there something you need this late?"

"I am very sorry to disturb your rest, Ms. Ji."

"After a review, the dating show has been cleared to resume filming."

Ji Ya’s expression remained unchanged, but inside, she was secretly delighted. She understood one thing clearly: the show restarting meant she could be tied to Lin Yu again every day for filming. Under the guise of the show, she could continue their dynamic of the "resentful female boss and the jerk employee" pairing.

A smile curled at the corners of her lips involuntarily, and she found herself looking forward to the resumption of filming.

"When can we resume?"

The director on the other end was surprised. From the legendary Ms. Ji, the CEO of a top agency, the director actually heard a hint of anticipation in her tone. One had to remember that when they first signed the contract, Ji Ya had appeared completely indifferent, even stating bluntly that her participation was merely to boost the popularity of her agency's artists.

He had assumed that with the show's suspension, this CEO would likely withdraw to protect her reputation. During the days of the review, the director had even begun preparing for another female celebrity to step in. But now, it seemed that wouldn't be necessary.

"Filming resumes in half a month, but could you please arrange a time for us to re-sign the agreement?"

Ji Ya was so immersed in the joy of being able to stay with Lin Yu again that she barely listened to the director, giving a perfunctory agreement.

"And the time?"

Since Ms. Ji was a busy woman, the director had to show some respect, leaving the initiative to her.

"Let's make it the day after tomorrow."

"See you then."

The director sent over a hotel location, agreeing that Ji Ya would bring Lin Yu the day after tomorrow to re-sign the contract.

After hanging up, Ji Ya didn't waste a second and contacted Lin Yu. A phone call clearly wasn't enough to satisfy her inner desires, so she initiated a video call.

Before long, he answered. Seeing Lin Yu’s face appear on the screen, Ji Ya couldn't help but smile.

Lin Yu teased with a cheeky grin, "Smiling so happily in the middle of the night? Were you thinking of me?"

"I called to inform you that the show has passed its review and we are resuming filming. Come with me to the hotel the day after tomorrow to sign the new contract."

To be honest, the fact that his boss called in the middle of the night just to talk about work was a bit of a letdown. He had secretly hoped she might have actually missed him. If this were the olden days, he might have felt his sleepless night was a total waste.

"Is there any work that couldn't wait until morning? Why must we talk in the dead of night? I thought someone had died!"

Ji Ya raised an eyebrow slightly. "Could it be that you were thinking of me so hard you couldn't sleep? Is that why you picked up so fast?"

Lin Yu curled his lip. "I'm a very busy man. I just finished chatting with my wealthy little treasure and was planning to take on some side gigs as a massage therapist tomorrow."

"?" Ji Ya’s expression soured instantly, the smile vanishing from her lips.

This kid was truly incorrigible! She thought he was joking about massaging wealthy women, but it turned out to be true! And he wasn't sleeping in the middle of the night because he was chatting with some "little treasure"? How could he be so heartless?

Thinking about how she had been tossing and turning for such a player, Ji Ya felt a tightness in her chest. She subconsciously patted her chest.

On the other side of the screen, Lin Yu’s eyes widened as he watched the hand moving against her chest. Overwhelmed by the sight, he blurted out, "Let those two rabbits go and let me handle them!"
