Thirty-two days ago, I published "Let the Pope Ascend the Throne."

At first, I honestly didn't hold out much hope for it. Those familiar with my work know that I’ve already seen two previous novels of mine sink into obscurity. Every time I picked a subject, it was always something off the beaten path; as a result, there was never enough feedback, and in the end, I watched them fade away, bit by bit, until I finally gave up.

This one was no exception; I chose a medieval setting—one of the coldest and most niche genres imaginable.

Yet, this novel’s rise owes everything to you, my dear readers.

Together, we created a legend.

Just a few days ago, the entire new historical fiction list was dominated by stories about the Ming dynasty—except for ours. We stood out as the only foreign history, and not just any foreign history, but the most obscure kind: medieval history.

Even when I had little faith myself, you dear readers lifted me to heights I never dreamed of.

After the great authors left the scene, I reached the top of the new historical fiction rankings.

I dare not claim this achievement as my own.
