Lu Bin held the documents in his hand, quietly watching Xu Wei before him. He wore a gentle smile as Xu Wei gesticulated animatedly, speaking at length about the entire sequence of events, yet Lu Bin’s expression remained entirely inscrutable, giving no hint of his own thoughts or intentions.

After Xu Wei finished recounting everything, he stole a glance at Lu Bin. He had assumed that his own righteous indignation, his passionate sense of justice, would surely move Lu Bin. But seeing Lu Bin’s utterly unaffected demeanor, he realized it had made no impression whatsoever.

So Xu Wei spoke up again: “This is our duty, our mission. I know I may be overstepping a bit, but since I’ve learned of it, I think it’s necessary for me to report and expose this!”

He pressed on: “I know that Hai Feng holds a grudge against Zhi Yong...”
